Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Cancelling Avios booking

  • 45 posts

For several days, I have been trying to cancel online an Avios booking. It doesn’t matter whether I log in as either my husband or myself I get the same message, ‘Sorry you can’t cancel online, you have to call us.’
Has anyone else had this message? Is this a BA IT issue or a change of procedure?

I cancelled one on Monday with no issue at all. Aviod=s and GUF1 voucher returned immediatly and cash a coupld of day later.

it is neihter a BA IT issue of change of procedure but if there have been any changes to the booking (e/g/ schedule change) then the simple work flow no longer works

Just do as the message says and call.

@Rma, BA IT is a capricious beast. Try logging in on your phone to the account the booking was made from and see if you can do it from there. This has worked for me previously.

😀 Must remember that phrase. “Sounds” like a huge compliment!
