Hi folks
As the title suggests, I’m wondering about doing this with the platinum. The credits are worth around £75, so it’s a trade off given the fee. But technically speaking, should these still post after a card has been cancelled to leave a credit balance or do you kiss goodbye when you go?
I might take the offer to downgrade to Gold if given: might that change the equation?
Thanks for any wisdom

T&Cs of offers stipulate that once a card is cancelled, you forfeit all pending statement credits.
Are you close to your new fee period, there isn’t a pro rata refund now (as I understand it) so is it worthwhile doing before the credits appear?

Pro rata refunds still available until later in the year

For existing card holders. Not contractually available for new card holders, doesn’t mean they won’t pro rats refund.
Can confirm you loose the credits when cancelled if they haven’t already posted.
