This is today’s chat thread.
If you have specific questions about Avios, hotels or credit cards, please ask them in the appropriate forum and not here. This thread is a good place to post interesting deals you have spotted or your general thoughts on travel and all things miles and points. Thank you for contributing.
Interesting news story on BBC news about a BA passenger flying to Madrid on an Iberia operated flight ending up flying under a stranger’s identity.
Reminded me of a recent thread on here, I did post a link to the story in said thread, but it is not showing, guess my post count means my account is somewhat restricted?
Good morning from Cathay J on a new A321 from TPE to HKG. First time on a CX A321 (I’ve only had an A330 on this route before) and it’s gorgeous. Lovely “shell” seat with acres of space, large HD screen, great food and service.
I know we’ll never get proper business class on short haul from BA, but a boy can dream 😉

@Seagull – that sounds great, but I’m not sure why you limit the “proper business class on short haul” comment to BA when it’s a Europe wide phenomenon. The economics of operating short haul in Europe are dire compared to those in Asia, the Middle East or the USA. So it will remain a dream for all the ex flag carriers.

Agree, and that wasn’t meant to single out BA, just that’s where all of my short haul is. But hey, it’s OK, Mr Asquith will surely revolutionise short haul once he’s figured out how to get more than 95 people on an A380 to JFK.

The passenger was issued with someone else’s boarding pass, and was subsequently put down as a no-show, and her return flight cancelled. This sounds a lot like an experience a HFP reader reported recently!

Yes, it was posted on that original thread earlier and also reported in this chat a few posts up.
BA 787 LHR – Edinburgh last week.
Brings back happy memories of the Super Shuttle with all sorts used as last minute airframes.
