Check in whilst sharing a booking with a Silver

Hi All,

I’m a lowly blue, but travelling on a booking made with my partner who is silver.

I have another friend who can guest me in the lounge earlier than my partner is able to as she is busy till 2 hrs before, but I would be arriving circa 3/4 hours before.

Given the flight is an avios redemption in ET with bags, which have updated in MMB to show 2 instead of 1 each, would check in staff prevent me from checking in early (I.e holding me to the 2 hours for euro traveller?)

I believe the machines aren’t restricted by time. Whether you’d get stopped by the “guards” I’m not sure as I did notice signage up today saying ET check in is only 2hrs before.

If your friend is able to may be better to go to Club check in with them

To be warned that there are and have been baggage issues at LHR and especially T3 and T5 and airlines have been and are restricting acceptance of bags to 2 hours prior for short and 3 for long haul to prevent the baggage system filling up and falling over.

Whilst the T5 system is large it’s not infinitely large.
