Claiming BA travel voucher with companion ticket and air miles attached

Just claimed a travel voucher for flight that I had used with a companion voucher and a load of Airmiles.
Got the voucher in 24 hours but not the Airmiles credit. Is this normal that you forfeit the Airmiles.
Im assuming the companion voucher is wrapped up in the travel voucher but cant see it ?
Would be great if BA would print the values of the vouchers on the email they send you.

Don’t panic.

Your Avios and 241 voucher are wrapped up in the voucher. When you ring BA to rebook they will use the Avios and 241 and cash towards the new booking you are making.

Three things to remember:
* You can’t change the name of the 2nd person when you rebook – same people must travel
* Your 241 is now artificially extended to 30/9/23 since that is when your voucher expires – you can ignore the original expiry date of your 241 voucher
* You can only use the voucher towards a new Avios booking – you can’t ask BA to use the cash element towards a cash ticket

Make sure you keep the emails with your FTV details AND your original booking confirmation somewhere safe as BA don’t always know what they contain when you ring up according to some comments on here!
