Companion Voucher: Can I Change date of initial flight to date outside validity?

Quick question.

I recently achieved a BA Companion Voucher (economy) valid for 12 months. Unfortunately my timing was slightly off, and the voucher expires two week prior to the date I hoped to take my initial departure.

If I book the latest date, it is possible to change my departure to a date outside of the voucher validity, for the usual change fee?

No. Sorry.

Years ago there was a loophole – you could book Manchester – London – XXXXX and only do MAN-LON before the expiry date – but BA closed this down.
