Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Accor Live Limitless Concur bookings not eligible?

  • Fraser 58 posts

I got this message from Ibis Amsterdam when querying missing points (which, in fact, they had already credited after email escalation):

“I have checked the booking in the system and have found out that this stay was not eligible for the All Points. This might have come due to the fact that this booking was made with a Travel Agent. Too [sic] be eligible for All Points you have to make the booking directly true [sic] the website of Accor.”

Has anyone else had experience of ALL refusing to honour corporate bookings? If so this would be new, and put them at odds with every other loyalty scheme, turning business travellers away in their droves.

Unfortunately Concur (and other systems) do have a back end offering which can be used to save the company money and incidentally create earnings for Concur depending on which options are taken.

Your employer seems to have taken an option implemented into your Concur syatem that means your booking is made not in the normal full service corporate travel agent way. Similar to Egencia, it’s set up so Accor sees it incoming as simiar to an OTA. So no points, and status recognition bye-bye.

People have left employers for less.

If that will take you some time, you may be able to work out by comparing dummy bookings in the system, or in some documentation, if bookings at different hotels or places are done via standard corporate travel agent route instead, and ensure your future travel needs require you to stay in those places instead 🙂 .

This can also happen to people just using normal corporate travel agents too depending on what the employer asks for or accepts and not just with Concur.
