I was looking at the Hilton Opera 2 rooms and when I toggle the connecting room option. The cheapest non refundable (Hilton discount advance purchase) jumps from €400 to €425. Same room, same rate type.
Is this correct? And they are charging a premium to secure the connecting setup?
There are few connecting rooms so I’m not surprised. The key word is “confirmed”.
They do charge a premium which I find a bit cheeky. I imagine their logic is blocking two rooms together reduces their flexibility so they charge more to compensate themselves. This is nonsense in my view.
Of note however is there is no premium on points bookings for confirmed connecting rooms assuming standard reward availability exists.

Exactly this for the win 🥳.
