We have a few domestic Vietnam Airlines flights coming up soon which would help hit Silver. However it was not possible to add the Virgin FF number when booking, as the bookings refused to go through unless the info was removed. I could also only book after creating a Lotus miles account, so now it has autopopulated the booking with the Lotus miles FF number.
Any ideas how to actually credit these to Virgin? I have a feeling that it is difficult to do after taking the flight as it will have already credited to Vietnam Airlines. May be a little easier for my wife as I managed to book her seats on my account without entering a FF number.
I can only find a few older topics on this that imply the issue was still to be resolved as Virgin had only just joined Sky Team.
The reservation ticketing team will do this for you (reservation.uk@vietnamairlines.com). But you should still confirm that your VS numbers have been added at check-in.

If the points don’t post make sure you contact Virgin Atlantic within 6 months of the flight date to get the flights credited correctly. I added my FF number via the reservations team as TJ suggested but this didn’t work. I contacted Virgin Atlantic but as it was 6 months after the flight date they didn’t give me the points!
