Forums Payment cards Other payment cards Curve Amex bill

Apologies I am sure this has been answered before but couldn’t see a response.

I am a metal user, can I pay off my Amex bill without the fronted option on (don’t want to eat into my 10k limit)?

Is so what would be the MCC that my card issuer sees?

What is the MCC when fronted is switched on?

    Many thanks

You need fronted. Fronted exists for this sort of transactions.
The MCC is the same, but if you have fronted off the transaction simply fails.

Curve will block you without fronted on. With fronted on Curve will allow the transaction but pass through the genuine MCC of the transaction so your underlying card may block / charge / etc
