My curve card is blocked. Been 48 hours now. Any recent experience of how long it’s taking them to unblock. Or even respond?
My curve card is blocked. Been 48 hours now. Any recent experience of how long it’s taking them to unblock. Or even respond?
The time taken will depend on the reason for your card being blocked in the first place
I could be waiting a very very long time then… 🤷
I got unblocked in 3-4 minutes, they requested my passport and selfie just a few days ago early morning.
Response times have got a lot worse in the last year or two. They now vary between 24 hours and 2 weeks in my experience over the last 6 months 🙁
Response times were ever good? 🤣
It’s a bit like those emails that you don’t feel a rush to respond to. It depends who is asking and/or what is being asked. Messages are triaged quickly so you can get a reply in minutes, others wait weeks.
Short messages seem to get answered more quickly, at least in my experience.
Response times were ever good? 🤣
You used to be able to call and speak to a real person after about 30 seconds on hold. They used to have the most responsive customer service by a mile of the 20+ plastic cards I hold.
If they don’t cancel my card I’ll be amazed. I would…
So, Curve email sent at 03.46 on Wednesday asking me to message via chat to confirm delivery address for card renewal. Duly sent at 08.15, acknowledgement at 09.31 asking for desired card colour, responded to promptly. Email at 11.15 to say new card on its way and arrived on Friday. Can’t really complain. I know quite a number of people experience issues as they do with a number of other providers, but it does basically work pretty well.
Three weeks into my four week trip and Curve has worked flawlessly. It’s helping me on to the £20k target for a Barclaycard voucher and I’m earning 1% cashback. I’m using it in the way it’s designed, to pay for services as I go rather than trying to be too clever. Considering it cost me a one off fee of £50 several years ago I really can’t complain, I’ve probably had at least 3 times that back already.
