I’ve hardly used my Curve for the last few years but see that having Legagy Black means I can do fronted for 1K a month. Without big tax bills to pay I can only see myself using the card it when outside of Europe.
Am I right in thinking that the £200 a month from a UK atm is gone / no use as Virgin will charge me for it?
Sorry I haven’t read all of the previous 36 pages.
You can do £500 a month with a card that will play ball.
It seems that Beardy has changed his mind again about acceptable payment methods.
last fronted payment of £3k March 8th, just done another £3k today 1st April, no problem.
But, HSBC WE card hasn’t been working for a few days. Barclaycard ok.
Noticed some ramdom declines for parking etc payment. Think HSBC was just playing up full stop

I noticed it, too.
Was surprised to be honest, pleasantly
I’ve got an email from Curve asking why I haven’t been using my card much recently – well, duh!
Nice to know they’re thinking of you!
Tested the water with Fronted this morning and no fee. Timing worked well for me as I only used my allowance a week ago.

As in Beardy, Berts chum from Sesame Street and everyones flexible friend are all playing nicely in the garden again?
Beardy was back in the game as of Monday but I’ve just had another look and he seems to have taken his ball home again …
I wasn’t aware of an issue with Bert’s friend but haven’t asked him over for a while!
Can I just check out that this is a sensible process. I have the Legacy Black, I have an old (ex BMI) card. The cheapest way to see if it is playing ball is to take £10 out of the cashpoint? If not playing ball will I see right away when looking at the transaction on the app for the old BMI card? Or will I need to wait to the statement date to be sure? Either way will I be able to go back in time to my debit card?
Happy to edit details out of this if I am being too obvious
Thanks in advance

That took me way longer to work out than is should have! 😀
After many years of using (and really not abusing) I downgraded my metal to the free version this week. A relatively painless process, which surprised me. They didn’t ask what my reasons were or try to persuade me to keep with it, perhaps I am one of the ones they were happy to offload.
Is Curve Fronted still offered to new Curve applicants, I no longer see it in their marketing.
Apologies, it looks still to be a thing – https://curve.com/en-gb/fronted

its not even mentioned in their table comparing the different cards…
no wonder they were offering black for 99p for 3months, the worst is yet to come!
i call out they will remove fronted as a feature all together within the summer, while people are on holidays when they least expect it because curve have always been sly and cunning when it comes to t&c’s

It’s still very much on their front page. https://www.curve.com/en-gb/
