Good morning,
I have some related questions if anyone has time, please:
1) How much extra tax would I need to pay if I wanted to upgrade an economy seat (London – New York, peak) to Premium with 15000 points?
2) How much extra tax would I need to pay if I wanted to upgrade that Premium seat to Upper with a further 60000 points?
3) Is there a list or table of such tax deltas that I can refer to?
Thank you!
You can do a couple of dummy bookings which will show you the different cash amounts, also SeatSpy shows them, but one way which might skew it a bit.
US taxes are outrageous, but we were charged $173 each to use the Virgin credit card voucher to upgrade 2 of us from PE to UC recently, from NAS to LHR, which felt like great value.
US taxes aren’t outrageous.
It’s the BA surcharges that are.
