Dining out offer using voucher

Hi,

Does anyone know if buying a voucher in a restaurant (thinking of sketch for a Christmas afternoon tea) would trigger the Amex dining offer ?

If it gets processed on the restaurant’s in-person card machine then almost certainly yes. Theoretically also if they take payment over the phone.
