Do taxes / fees count as BA spend for double Amex Avios?

I’m sure this is covered somewhere but can’t dig it out.
If I use a BA Amex Plus to pay the fees/taxes for an avios companion voucher redemption flight, will that count as BA flight spend and earn 3avios/£1 instead of the normal 1.5 avios.

If not I will likely apply for the Barclay card and use the purchase toward the 3month bonus.

Yes absolutely. On some discounted fares the fees and charges are far more than the ‘fare’.

All your BA spend will earn 3 Avios/£.
