Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Earning VS tier points on a Delta-ticketed VS flight

I have an upcoming flight that was ticketed by Delta (with a Delta flight number), but is operated by Virgin. Class is “A” (premium select) which I believe should earn 100 tier points as per the Delta table, but I’d like to confirm that I will still earn the tier points even if it’s VS operated.

You haven’t given enough information. It depends on the route

Route is ATL-JFK-LHR, with the first segment on Delta metal and the second on Virgin metal.

Thanks, although not quite what I was trying to ask. My question was essentially “do flights ticketed by Delta but flown on VS metal actually earn tier points at all?”. The Virgin site’s Delta page says “As a Flying Club member, you can earn on all Delta operated services including the flights operated by Delta regional services; Delta, Delta Shuttle, Delta regional services (Delta Connection)”. Which doesn’t sound promising, but perhaps I’m just reading it wrong.

Yes they do, that link I posted shows you that they do. I’ve earned plenty of TPs on Delta ticketed flights irrespective of whether it’s VS or DL metal as long as the ticket class is a qualifying one. If they’re both A class then you’re fine, if one of them is different then change the A in the box on that page.
