A mate I recently referred for Plat card just bought some flights on Emirates but got the message on his amex account:
“This transaction is not eligible for a statement credit using points”I’ve never seen this, does it mean the spend doesn’t count towards his spend targets, which I can’t imagine why…or is it something else?

It means you can’t use MR points earned on transaction to offset the transaction in question.
