Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Euro RFS cancellation – not £35?

Looking to cancel a European economy redemption and was pleasantly surprised it was £1 to do so – and not the £35 I was expecting. Is this an error?

If your flight reward co-payment is under £35 the fee is simply what you paid. If it is £35 or more then the fee is £35. Sane if forcexampme you book a domestic flight on AA or Alaska in USA, fee could be as little as £4.

Has been at the, ahem, lower level for quite a while – I’ve done a lot of cancelling and rebooking this summer and saved a fortune.

However, changing the outbound leg by a day in the original booking cost the £35. Cheaper to cancel and rebook – odd!

I cancelled a one-way “sweet spot” Avios + £17:50 a couple of days ago and was refunded £17 (plus Avios obvs)
