This seems like an interesting approach.
With Eurostar on board as SkyTeam’s first non-airline partner, customers will be able to travel on itineraries that combine long- and medium-haul flights with sustainable rail journeys in a single reservation – while enjoying SkyTeam benefits.
Are there Eurostar trains to Paris CDG airport?

Thalys trains, now part of Eurostar do call at CDG. Also, have Thalys trains calling at AMS.

Remember the terminology has changed. Eurostar just used to be the London-Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam bit but now it’s the branding used on various lines in Northern Germany, Netherlands, Belgium etc.

Although possibly not for much longer. Eurostar are so fed up with speed restrictions and reliability problems on the lines in NL, and the poor performance of infrastructure operator ProRail in tackling them (and the Amsterdam Centraal refurbishment works) that they are considering suspending services to/from the Netherlands.

Probably more of a high-profile ‘warning shot’ from the CEO in the Dutch financial press than an actual plan, but still…
I was just thinking about this from last year. Has anyone heard anything more about this tie-up?
Probably wishful thinking but it would be nice to hope that my Status with Eurostar might be worth something with SkyTeam as I travel constantly with Eurostar but my company has just decided we should be going everywhere else using Air France.

No I’ve not seen anything more yet sadly. FYI, if you stay with Accor hotels you can link your Accor and flyingblue accounts and earn both Accor and flyingblue points/miles when you fly or stay – If I fly to amsterdam for a couple of days, the Accor hotel usually earns me more Flyingblue miles than the flight itself does which seems crazy

Yes, I just swapped my Accor account over from Qatar to Air France for this (although I don’t have much use for Flying Blue point except transferring back to Accor). I was more hoping that my status with Eurostar might gain me some status with Air France because of the inordinate amount of time it looks like I will be spending at either Schiphol or CDG which are my two most hated airports on earth
