Forums Other Destination advice Extremely nice adults only Corfu hotels (or Crete)

I need to start researching a hotel for next June for my fussy mother and her man. Budget isn’t much of an issue and even better I’ll be booking it on my CC so I can get loads of lovely points. What are the best hotels on either island for a pair in their 60/70’s who will not consider the prospect of a child in the vicinity. They like a bit of luxury and a nice beach for the mother.

Doesn’t Domes of Elounda have a child-free section? I’m not sure how you’d guarantee that all the adults were extremely nice though 😂

Haha it could read like that, I didn’t notice. 😂
A comma wouldn’t have gone amiss I think.
Yes, been looking at the dreadful Domes website, which is style over substance. I’ll return when I’ve more patience.

There’s a whole thread on FT!

Also – years ago we stayed at a place in Elounda called King Minos Palace. I can’t honestly remember if it was adults only (can’t recall seeing kids but it was in term time), and there were lots of Russians (so it might be quiet these days), but what I loved was that the suite we stayed in had a semi-private pool between 4 suites. We were the only people in that section so had the pool to ourselves!

I recently stayed in Domes Zeen Chania, while it was nice, I wouldn’t say it would meet your specs so if I were you I would rule it out, Domes Miramare in Corfu was excellent but I went in 2019, I think they’ve had an extension so it may be worth looking into.

I seem to remember that the Ikos hotels have child free areas. They are extremely nice hotels as well!
