HI All,
Wondered if anyone could shed some light on this scenario.
I have a friend who has a Companion Voucher which is due to expire in June which is going to go unused.
On a companion is it only the card holder who this is valid for? Or, can it be used by someone who is a member of your family account? ie, could by used by myself?
The voucher holder HAS to travel, but they can take anyone they choose as the companion, if that’s what you’re asking. The voucher can’t be “donated” so 2 other people can use it, if THAT’S what your asking, lol.
Understood, but could it be used for 1 other person to travel? Or is that solely for the use of the voucher holder?
Do you mean with the 50% discount? No, still has to be the voucher holder!
Barclays or Amex. Barclays can be used for a friend.

The thread title refers to a companion voucher, and this is repeated in the first post. The Barclaycard Avios plus card offers a ‘cabin upgrade’ voucher, only the BAPP Amex offers a companion voucher.
The question has been correctly answered prior to your post, twice in fact, as it appears the OP was still confused. You should have left it at that.
You could in theory, ask your friend to book him and you on a flight using companion voucher. Then he no shows. Pointless money/avios wise but still, its a possibility.
