I knew ITA was leaving the SkyTeam alliance, but they look to be keeping close links (possibly just until ITA join star alliance in a year or so). I got the following email from flyingblue today….
ITA Airways has ended its membership in the SkyTeam Alliance.
For ITA operated flights departing May 1, 2025 onward, Flying Blue and Volare are committed to maintaining our partnership inclusive of earning and spending Miles, and a selection of Elite benefits and recognition.
However, you’ll no longer earn XP (Experience Points) on ITA marketed flights (flight numbers with the prefix ‘AZ’). You will continue to earn XP on Air France- and KLM-marketed flights (flight numbers with the prefix ‘AF’ or ‘KL’).
