Anyone happen to know if this has been restored now?

It was suspended and replaced with credit, supposedly up until the end of last year

Assuming it is accurate, this article details how it now operates – https://thepointsguy.com/news/hilton-eliminates-free-breakfast-for-elites-15-dining-credit/

The other week, the Crapital Hilton seemed to feel it was a permanent ‘enhancement’, giving guests additional options.

There was another thread on this recently. It sounds as though this has “quietly” been extended so may well be permanent. It will definitely affect which hotels I book in the US now. Provisionally booked Hampton for our DC stay next Xmas as we need 2 rooms and breakfast for all of us is clearly worth quite a bit. Also booked the Baker’s Cay Curio in Key Largo on points for New Year – they told me last year that gold members get $36 dollars credit per night (which tallies with the article posted above) which covers the cost of their buffet breakfast so if that remains it will be an acceptable option.

Think the vouchers are here to stay. During my last visit to the US in early 2019 I stayed in a few Hiltons and they really begrudged having to provide me free breakfast with one even trying to give me vouchers instead saying it was their policy, which it wasn’t at that point. When I was there the voucher did cover the ticket cost but did not cover the taxes and service charge which will then be added to your bill. As a result you’re looking at a minimum of 30%+ of ticket price as woe betide any individual who does not provide a minimum tip of a 18%. This is also if you’re lucky enough to have a hotel that provides you with a voucher that covers the entire ticket price.
