Harvey Nichols £40 off £200

I triggered the above offer on my BAPP card when I bought items for just over £200. The cashback showed straight away on my online statement. Unfortunately, HN then contacted me to say one of the items wasn’t in stock, so refunded £75, which has also now shown on my statement. Does anyone know if Amex will now withdraw the £40 cashback?

Usually yes because they will see the refund against the original spend and as it’s a one go offer you’d need to spend £200 again to trigger rather than just £75.

If you wanted the remaining goods regardless then never know they might not (unlikely) otherwise I’d cancel the whole order.

Thanks for the reply. They delivered the rest of the order, which I decided to keep. So far Amex hasn’t taken back the £40, so fingers crossed they won’t!
