Just completed a CE splash n dash NCL/LHR/HEL and last leg was on an A530 with amazing service comfort and unbelievably quiet in row 3A. SO looked at future onward flights to the USA in this amazing aircraft/airline. However when on ba.com (HEL/ORD) I get rerouted via Heathrow to a BA flight which defeats the objective! Presumably I will need to book through my Finnair account. Just wondered whether I get BA tier or Finnair points

    TIA

HEL/ORD is a 6 day a week flight and doesn’t run on Wednesday* so possible that just happens to be the day you picked. It’s also a seasonal route.

    * Found that out from my own planning so I’m going HEL-LHR (on the A350j on AY then AA to ORD so all T3 and the T3 Lounges,

OT: Would like to visit LIS. Would BA Holidays allow/price up LHR HEL, HEL LIS, 5 night stay in LIS, LIS HEL, HEL LHR? Did try BAH multi-city tool & said no flights available.

You need to call BA to create this route.

the BA HOls custom trip engine does not recognise HEL-LIS as a valid flight.

In addition to this the HEL-LIS flight is on an A321 which should factor into your decision.
