Hotel status – Amex Plat and lounge question

Have upgraded to Amex Plat from Gold and received the card and supp card and activated today.

How do I get the hotel status upgrades /applied ?? Nothing in the welcome pack.

Log in to your account and look under benefits. There’s quite a bit to explore. Lounge access comes via an email directly from Priority Pass.

Thank you @phantomchickenz have had a look at the benefits page and now enrolled on the hotel statuses, not in a rush re the car rental ones as only really rent motors once in a blue moon in Blighty.

I’ve got Priority Pass from my old Gold card and my missus has received an email as a Supp cardholder to register for this now, so am assuming the unlimited passes just get added to the app. Useful as got a domestic flight MAN-LHR return booked in December with a work pal/colleague so can get us both in to a T5 lounge on both legs….

I don’t think it’s a case of your existing Priority Pass account being upgraded – When I went from Gold to Platinum a couple of years ago I got a new PP card with a new number which gave unlimited visits, so I’d beware of using your original PP account as you may get charged for visits beyond the gold card allowance of four.

Re the car hire statuses, they can be a bit fiddly to set up and if I recall correctly I had to call up Amex customer service to get the upgrade applied to either my extsting Avis loyalty account or that of my OH. That worked fine but I think it took a few days. The enhanced Hertz status only applies to the primary card holder though (or at least that’s what I was told via chat).

I think im ok as have had a message in the app re the 4 complimentary reservations that you only get with Plat, plus the “start date” on the pass has changed to just 4 days ago. Will double check though with chat

Can I ask, have your dining credits and Harvey Nichols offers appeared yet? I have also upgraded but nothing so far.
