Hi,
I have a booking from LHR-Dubai in June.
How can I check if I’m flying club suite,
The BA app doesn’t show which aircraft it is, it just has a “-“ where it should say what aircraft. When I try to select a seat it says 777. On award wallet it says 787-9. I’m confused :s
What layout does the seat map show when checking the seat map.
If it’s 1-2-1 then it’s CS
Also see seat maps heee
When you try to select a seat, what does the layout look like?
It’s not CS then! I don’t know how likely a change of aircraft would be – might also depend on how many seats they’ve sold (I can’t remember how many CS seats there are per cabin)?
Morning. Have a return BA reward trip booked in November 2022 London to Singapore – deliberately booked the 777 flight Ba 11 and BA12 rather than the 787 flight in the hope it may be retrofitted with club suite. Are BA still actively refitting 777s? Seat map, still shows 2-4-2 layout. Thanks in advance.

Yes, BA is still refitting the 777s, so there is some prospect you will get CS by Nov. I don’t think you will get any notification so you need to keep checking or set up a notification if you have something like ExpertFlyer. Unfortunately they do make last minute aircraft changes, so there is no certainty. We were due to have CS to Cape Town last month and they switched five days prior – I got an EF notification, but nothing from BA that our seat numbers no longer existed in the new layout and although the app and website still showed 1-2-1, I could set on EF that it wasn’t.

Ah thank you JDB fingers crossed. Sorry to hear you didn’t get CS when you went to Cape Town. Very annoying. Hope you had a great time!

Hope you get the CS! We were OK, but it took quite a fight to get two seats together window/aisle as when they changed the aircraft, our 2A/3A rows cease to exist – in closed first cabin and club starts at row 10 on the 77G configuration, so everybody in rows 1-9 was bounced out of their booked seats. Big mess.
Not sure what time your flight will be, but if late, eat first. On our flights to EZE and CPT in last three months, the Club food was so atrocious and wine undrinkable we had nothing but water until breakfast in both directions. What’s odd is that my wife and I travelled back from KEF and CDG respectively yesterday and both remarked just how much better the Club Europe food was – well presented, fresh and very edible, just so much better than Club World. First course, then good salmon Waldorf salad, cheese with Peters Yard crackers and the standard Do&Co chocolate mousse. They try to make it fancier for the long haul but fail dismally and serve it in the same way on a single tray – all beige grey food. The upside is that not having had the acidic champagne or student type wine on the long haul, we probably arrived more refreshed that might otherwise have been the case.
