Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club How early can you bag drop/check in with Finnair at Heathrow?

Ideally would like to bag drop/check in with Finnair at 12pm but my flight is at 6pm. Anyone know if this is possible? Plenty of other AY flights everyday so imagine the counter is open but unsure if they will let me check in? Any ideas/experiences?

Did a dummy booking and AY had flights for tomorrow at

    07.30
    10.20
    16.10
    18.10

I don’t think that AY will have the desks open much longer before than 2 hours before the 16.10 flight

Thanks good point – had just assumed 4 flights/day is a decent number and not considered exact timings/spacing. Would they still allow me to check in at 2pm for the 6.10pm flight?

Likely a silly follow up question – If I check in online, can I bag drop at a BA counter? Trying to figure out if I can get to T3 around 12/1pm for the 6pm flight (I have bags to check in).

I did this in the past, but I had no luggage. (Couldn’t get BPs online so had to go to airport)

hi, bumping this thread as I’ll be flying on the 6pm flight but ideally I’d like to check in and drop my bags off in the morning as I want to get into the terminal and work from there. Any advice?

Bumping this one again, we’re on the 10am (wide body) flight from LHR and would ideally like to drop our bags at 7am to do a spot of lounge surfing. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thinking they may keep the counters open after the 7am flight given the higher loads on the A350? Or failing that, would they accept the bags whilst still open for the earlier flight?

Sorry can I bump this again please, would like to check in around 1400 when the 1610 flight opens to travel on the 1800 flight?
