Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors How many points per £1 with Hilton?

Can someone remind me how many points you get for £1 spend – is it still tied to dollar spend?

It’s just recently I don’t seem to be getting as many points as I should, for example 25k points for a 2 day stay costing £1000 inc double points and diamond bonus?

They’ve always been 10 per USD not GBP on the rate with taxes deducted.

Thanks but this is a couple of years out of date, doesn’t have current promotion

It’s 10 base points per USD (https://help.hilton.com/s/article/How-many-Points-will-I-earn-on-my-stay), but have the same issue as you, disputing a few stays with CS.

Taxes not included, so in the UK it’s pretty much 10 points per £. For Diamond that means 40 points per £ with the triple promo.

Will have been a bit less recently since they use a worse exchange rate than interbank.

So £1000 2 night stay earning double should be about 30k points (+ 1000 myway). 25k does seem wrong.

But someone else who asked me this question recently, forgot to mention that he used 5000 points to reduce the rate.

FWIW I recently spent £2400 (charged in Euros equiv) and got around 103k Hilton Honour points in the triple points bonus. Hilton Gold

That’s a pretty good lump of points!

Am I right in thinking it’s the hotel that allocates the points or is it done automatically by the system?

Appeared about two days after check out. Not sure on the allocation part. If I’m not mistaken, triple points kicks in on three nights hence why you didn’t get as many as you expected.
