Anyone received their 2023 one yet? I spent the required amount 2 months ago and was told I’d get my award when Creation shut down the £99 credit card. But still nothing (and I want to get on and use it).

I emailed last week to close my account and they insist they can’t calculate and refund the pro rata account fee until the end of July. On the plus side they’ve closed my account quickly but I now can’t access the app so can’t see any refunds and suspect I’ll have to chase them if I ever want to see the money. Perhaps the reward night will also magically credit at the end of July!

Same here and Creation are not responding to my queries – very irritating
I had an email yesterday calculating my refund (£15) and then a text to say remaining points and anniversary night voucher would be credited by 30/9/23. Which is really annoying if it actually does take that long as my year would have ended beginning of September and I had plans for the voucher!
My year end was this month, not impressed by having to wait until September.
Creation customer services need to be called after you get your partial fee refund advice so they know where to refund it. It takes 10 days apparently to arrive at your bank. Then the final statement is produced and this triggers the release of the free night certificate. Expect around mid August to appear on IHG website.
That’s more faffing about than going to the FOS was! (Though hopefully less waiting time).
I kept the card in anticipation, once the refund hit I topped up Amazon by the exact amount. I’ll cancel when the free nights hit our accounts.

Can’t see anything obvious when logged on the Creation site.Surprisingly my free night award turned up in my account over the weekend without my having to chase IHG. Can now move to cancel my Creation card and will be thoroughly relieved to be rid of it given their atrocious service.

I’ve just been given mine too, card still active but not using. It has one years expiry from now so unfortunately will have to use before I really wanted it, was hoping date would tie in to when your anniversary was (in my case feb). Never mind i might try the ic Park lane as not stayed there before

Same here! What is the least painful way to cancel? I’d like to avoid speaking to anyone at Creation if possible…
From the email notifying the closing of the card you should be able to close the account via email.
“If you do not wish to transfer to a Creation Credit Card please email CCE@creation.co.uk, stating your first name, surname, first line of address, postcode and last 4 digits of your Credit Card number, to opt out and close your account. You’ll need to repay any outstanding balance by paying at least the minimum payment each month. Making only the minimum payment each month will mean it takes longer and will cost you more to pay off.”

This method worked for me but took about a week to get a reply. I subsequently used the messaging feature in my online account to claim the refund of card fee as account closing balance was in credit. The app stops working when they close the card but you can still login to the website and access balances etc.
Got my last free night voucher and has said NO to the replacement card. Creation app stopped working so assume account closed.
Amb weekend and 2 creation vouchers hopefully can be used together once seatspy fix their data feed

Mine were. But seem to have changed recently to stay by. How can they do that?
Are you booking in the app or desktop? App only allows “book by” but desktop allows “stay by”. It’s weird.
