Forums Payment cards American Express IHG Offer — Cashback on Spend £300+ in “one or more” transactions?

  • 4 posts

This offer has been around before, so hoping someone might know how it works…

Might be a stupid question, but imho it’s a stupidly worded offer, even in the terms 😉
Is this to say I can put through two separate transactions totalling £300 (one at £200, another at £100) and still be eligible for the cash back?

There’s also a line about excluding payments made at the hotel “on a hotel provided tablet” — what on Earth does that mean?

My situation: I have two bookings at an eligible hotel (for different room types, hence had to be two bookings), but it’s a pay-on-arrival state of affairs which seems to be the case with all the European bookings I’ve made. Both rooms cumulatively come to €375, but individually fall short of the £300 threshold.

    TIA! 🙂
    D.

Yes the wording of the offer means cumulative spend – so a £100 spend and a £200 spend will trigger the offer.
