Hi has anyone stayed here and had breakfast, do you know roughly the cost as I’m trying to decide if we should pay for club lounge or if they will give us a discount for being an ambassador member to see if it’s worth while ? Any other tips welcome.
Is the annual lounge pass likely to be a possibility for you? That would make this consideration moot.
The IC Singapore lounge is one of my favourites. So I might be tempted to pay for it if I didn’t have the lounge pass.
If you have no chance of the lounge pass and no Diamond status likely for free breakfast, I suggest you check with a luxury travel agent whether there’s a good deal on the IHG Lux Life rate. That would include breakfast amongst other things and often offers a free night depending on length of stay.
Hi thanks unfortunately the room is booked on points and my husband is only platinum ambassador. Sorry what is the annual lounge pass?
I would be looking at the club upgrade. Breakfast in good Singapore hotels is an expensive sport. What’s more, they also do club lounges very well – stayed in the other IC in the summer. So the occasional afternoon tea and ability to have a couple of pre-dinner sharpeners in a relaxing environment always makes for a nice treat.
The annual lounge pass is a milestone award you can select on staying 40 or 70 nights, which we have. So if you are close to one of those milestones, it might be worth a cheap stay somewhere in advance. As soon as you select the option it is in your wallet and can be selected immediately. We have stayed in a number of IC and Crowne Plaza since it’s introduction and has been very useful. Have not needed to show a pass anywhere as it appears in the system and has always been mentioned as part of the welcome as a Diamond Ambassador.
We stayed at IC Bugis in December. As mentioned above, we thought the Lounge offered a good selection of food throughout the day/evening and was a good place to relax. We passed the restaurant en route to the Lounge but didn’t try it as were very happy with the choices in the lounge. Have no idea how much it would cost, but would think likely to be around £30.
This hotel is one of our go to hotels in Singapore and we have stayed a few times in the last year.
I am sure you will enjoy your stay.
If you aren’t big on big breakfast spreads; bear in mind the Bugis IC is attached to a mall with Starbucks, macdonalds a supermarket and various other food stalls. The breakfast is good; lounge breakfast is good; but if you are on points to save money you have close by options that will get you to your chilli crab lunch.
They want 200 Singapore dollars for the lounge Mon to Thursday and 280 the rest of the week so might see if we get a reduction on the rates when we check in, fingers crossed.

Wow. The Singapore slings were good and topped up frequently, so were canopies and afternoon tea as well as breakfast, but not sure I’d pay 200/280 Singapore dollars. As @u07ch says, there are plenty of places to eat in the attached mall and close by. If it’s your first visit, you must try chilli crab. Grab very reliable and cheap as are taxis. If you have any free time, go for a wander around the Botanic Gardens, which are free (extra for Orchid Garden). Swan Lake is a favourite of mine (use Tanglin Gate entrance opposite Napier MRT).
The lounge at IC Singapore is well worth paying for, although we had with the lounge pass. Breakfast, full afternoon tea, cocktails and hot canapés in the evening. We had breakfast in the restaurant with Diamond, which was very extensive.
