Morning all, I’m Charlie and I’ve been lurking in the forums for a while. I thought it was time to show you what I’ve been working and would love to hear feedback from fellow HfP folk.
https://www.flighttimecalendar.com/
Features:
– BA Reward Availability
– Flight times
– Aircraft details
– Peak/Off-Peak calendar
– Full cabin breakdown
– Compare against retail prices
– Available on mobile and desktop
– Airport to Airport rather than city to city
– Sign up is free for nowWhere does the data come from?
Reward Availability is direct from BA so should be accurate and timely. Pricing is also real-time. Schedules and aircraft data are sometimes a little delayed – if anyone has a free Cirium account, let me know 😉 Peak/Off-Peak data seems a bit whacky at the moment due to BA’s IT woes but I’m working on improvements at the moment.
(And no, this isn’t data scraped from SeatSpy or RewardFlightFinder!)Why the terrible name?
I’m really bad a naming things 😉 – if you have better ideas and the .com is available, then let me know!Who are you?
I’m Charlie. Like you, a travel and points enthusiast. If you want to get in touch, reply to the sign up email. What’s Next?
If this is popular then alerts, more airlines, destination finder, ??? – I’ll prioritise what’s most popular so reply here or get in touch.Does this have anything to do with HfP?
No but Rob has kindly given me his blessing for this forum post. Rob and the rest of the team have built a great community here, I thought this was the perfect place to launch to you fine people. So, all of you with avios (I’m looking at you, Mr. X), then this is for you.I commend you for this! Are you trying to replicate what seatspy/rff do already?
Personally, I would remove the need for people to sign in at this early stage so that you get maximum resistance-free feedback. On the front page Individial needs a spell check.
I think the coloured numbers are slightly tricky to see could they be a bit bigger without the frame around them?
If you search for the city/ country name it would be good if that generated the airport options. I went to search for Barbados and blanked on what the airport is called.
Thanks for doing this.Nice tool especially with the flight departure times all listed and the individual availability . Though it only gives one way rather than return could you add a quick link to switch the origin and destination so it’s easier to look up the return leg.
Please make the colours much more prominent, I don’t believe the current subtle tones would be counted as accessible, alternatively add a hover so that users can see which one is Economy/Business etc.

If you click the date you can see in far better detail

Valid.

I think you have opposite directions on the left and right side of the page
I could actually see the from/to and a search button being a widget inside HfP articles, you just need to figure out your revenue sharing 😉

I was thinking the same, Rob needs to buy, perfect and monetise one of these tools
Is there no way to filter/display cabin availability on the monthly overview? Having to click on each individual date to see if theres anything other than economy available is really annoying.
Its good that it shows availability by time, thats a big improvement on seatspy.

Not on mobile its actually right down the bottom, I gave up scrolling, but would still be good to have the option to reverse the origin/destination. perhaps a quick link at the top for mobiles to skip to the return sector would help navigation.
Agree would be good to filter Cabin as sometimes you’re only interested in J or F etc
I put MAN as the starting point to see what came up. As well as LHR and BLL, it shows MAD, however that’s an IB service, not BA?
I noticed Sydney doesn’t appear in the destinations, you have to do LHR-SIN and SIN-SYD individually.
In addition to SYD mentioned above, there’s quite a few destination airports missing (e.g. BKK, KIN). Ultimately, the data feed is going to be key in terms of its sustainability and data integrity. If you can crack this, then you’ve got a promising product on your hands.
Well done on creating this. My recommendations would be:
Filtering to only display dates with availability for a selected class, just hiding or relying out the others perhaps.
Freezing the top few rows so that when you scroll (on desktop) the search terms etc always remains visible.
An indication in calendar view of peak/off-peak days.
The really useful feature for me would be a push notification service for a route/date range and as others have said the accuracy of the data will be the main factor of success for the projectGood work. Would like to be able to search to/from any London, any NY, etc.
Are you able to get data up to 355 or are you limited to up to September ’25?This is excellent. The main advantages being able to see at a glance all flights for any given date and, in the detailed view, the aircraft type. Well done! Could this render Seatspy redundant?
Another filtering suggestion in addition to availability of selected class….
In the monthly overview, the *absolute* number of available seats in each class is not that important to me. Rather, are there sufficient seats in that class for the size of my party? This would be indicated simply by a tick or blob of the appropriate colour rather than a number. So in addition to the From and To boxes, allow the user to specify the class and the number of seats required (as in Seatspy) For example, if I am travelling with my OH, it would only show flights with at least 2 available seats in my selected class. The absolute number could still be shown in the detailed display for a particular date.
This is great – added to favourites 😁
I like that the design isn’t froufrou – just flight times, and calendar (so for me, the name is absolutely fine!)
One thing of concern is if BA stops supplying the data/making the data available. I have seen this happen on one other website, where BA stopped sharing the data feed pertinent to the tool, thus rendering that particular page/tool redundant.
It looks sleek and clean.
But my problem with such services is accuracy. So far with seatspy etc I never managed to book the availability they show, and worse, what I booked on my own never was shown available there. So it was pretty useless to me.
Does this have better accuracy?
Many thanks for the kind words and suggestions. HfP is awesome! Keep them coming…
I’ve just deployed a new version so you should see it live on https://www.flighttimecalendar.com/ as of now.[REQUESTS-COMPLETED]
– x4 Filters by cabin: click the new checkboxes atop the page (thanks @TGLoyalty, @rosswill, @slidey, @LouiseL, @Alwaysbusy)[FIXED]
– Typo on homepage (@ZoeB)
– Avios booking link now takes you to the correct segemnt[INFO]
– Click the date to see a detailed breakdown as well as current £ GBP prices for each cabin/time.
– Both outbound and return are shown by month (horizontally on desktop, vertically on mobile).
– Differences to SeatSpy/RFF: flight times, aircraft, airports, retail prices.
– Revenue share with HfP – lol, Rob already has a deal with SeatSpy but I’m open to options 😉
– Requirement to login – necessary to prevent to abuse and costs spiralling!
– Numbers by cabin – you can see total numbers on mobile but you can see individual cabin numbers on desktop (or click a date)
– Filtering by cabin – now live
– BKK is available for direct flights from LGW (thanks @TJ)
– Avios Availability is now available 355 days ahead (thanks @FatherOfFour)
– Availability comes straight from BA so is accurate as possible (@thanks @can2)[REQUESTS]
– x2 Improve visibility/accessibility of cabin availability colours/numbers (thanks @LouiseL)
– x2 Support routes with multiple segments e.g. LHR->SIN, LHR->KIN (thanks @AFKAE, @TJ, @NorthernLass)
– x1 Find airport by city/country as well as airport (thanks @ZoeB)
– x1 Better destination matching e.g. MAN->MAD is IB, not BA
– x1 Freeze route navigation atop page
– x1 Alerts (thanks @rosswill)
– x1 Calendar View of Peak/Off-Peak (thanks @rosswill)
– x1 Search by city e.g. LON (thanks @FatherOfFour)This is pretty cool. I was looking at BA212 in June next year, you’re showing as a 787-10, whereas on BA it’s an A380
Both outbound and return are shown by month (horizontally on desktop, vertically on mobile).
On mobile, this wasn’t obvious and I was about to report a “bug” that each month appeared duplicated. But niw I know!
Still.not seeing any flights in October ’25. Ie, not seeing full 355 days.
Including the IB flights is a good thing, I certainly wouldnt remove them 🙂
Another suggestion for a future feature would be being able to enter an outbound and/or inbound date and have a list of destinations where there is avios availability. It’s really useful to be able to see all the options for a particular date without having to search destinations individually.
Well done on the updates, this is better tech control than BA!
When I click from/to, the top airports should be the latest 2 or 3 that I looked at, then fix in LHR/LGW/LCY, then the rest, but sort by airport code or city, not airport name
