Currently Hilton Gold until 31st March 2024. The app and website recently both explain I’ll drop back to Silver. No issues with that but wanted to keep Gold as I’ve learnt to use it wisely on the likes of WA hotels and get some real value out of it.
I currently have three bookings until 31st March 2024. 1 at Hilton Geneva, 2 at Hilton Manchester Deansgate for the SAME night. Ive used my app to book one room for my wife and myself, and the other put in the name my sister in law, and her husband so we can all enjoy a night out.
I did an on line chat with Hilton last night to ask would they consider extending Gold for 2024 through 31st March 2025 AKA good old fashioned tight arsed Yorkshire man trying it on. Despite the pain of the chat I was then told me it was extended but I have to stay 10 nights in the next 3 months. I didn’t want that challenge on that date as i wanted it to start after end of March, however I have got 3 stays coming up so can’t complain really. I was more trying it on for free but ended up with the challenge but hey ho. Logged into my account and now it shows on my offers as;

The fine print link doesn’t work. So my questions are.
1. As it says 430 days left, is it a challenge or have I been given Gold as that takes me to March 2025 for free?
2. Does the offer from Hilton assume I’m completing the 10 nights in 90 days and therefore keeping Gold until March 2025?
3. Does the fact I’ve booked Hilton Manchester on two separate bookings count as 2 stays for the purposes of the challenge as I’ve paid for two rooms under two separate confirmation’s?
4. If my thinking is correct and Hilton aren’t just gifting me Gold for free do I just need 7 more nights to stay before the 26th April? (My 90 days is up by then) to keep Gold?Phew…..sorry about the ramblings

I don’t know about whether you’ve been given Gold or not. However the Hilton Manchester bookings won’t count as 2 stays. In the T&Cs, under Accrual of Points, it says “For purposes of obtaining tier status, a Member will receive stay and night credit for one room only”.
You can get points for both rooms if you get the bills combined into one folio under your name when checking out. It’s irrelevant if you’ve paid for both rooms if the other room is in someone else’s name and not combined into your bill on checkout.
I’m in a similar position, I’m Diamond and will drop to bottom level at the end of March so I tried calling HH and tried to obtain a years extension, they too offered me a fast track option which won’t work for me at present. Resigned to being bottom from April 1st but now it seems I’m Diamond for another year, it’s not clear either way but I read it as such. I’ll see ironically on April 1st..

Dropped to Gold April 1st. Signed up for 18 nights in 90 days challenge yesterday. I specifically asked if I would be Diamond during the challenge – unfortunately not, but happy that Reward nights count towards the 18 nights.
OH is still showing as gold – he got it via Amex Plat which he last held towards the end of 2021!
Thank you. Mine is showing as diamond but I was told I would drop to gold 1 April so I already signed up to the fast track challenge on 30 march as I’m currently on a 11 night stay. Now not sure I needed to or what will happen in the coming days or after the 90 day challenge! The current 11 nights are in 2 blocks of 5 nights and an extra night so I am just worried at recheck in il be gold and won’t get exec lounge. But will find out tomorrow….

I was Diamond up to end March and was due to drop to Silver from 1st April this year. I was offered the 18 nights in 90 days option to remain at Diamond. This applied from March to May.
I was Diamond for the March stays and am still showing as Diamond today. I was given different information by customer support whether I would remain at Diamond for April/May. I have booked my April stays and will be pleased if Diamond still applies. However, I am holding off booking my nights in May as what I book will very much depend on the status I have.
Hopefully all will become clear to all affected soon!

Same here, still gold despite only doing 14 hilton nights last year. I think I closed my Plat in 2016 when the fee went up from £250 or whatever it was to over £400.
Still premium at Radisson Rewards too despite only ever having 3 stays since 2014.
lol, my account still showing as diamond earlier today even though it was supposed to drop to gold. Did a redemption and instantly my account is now showing gold….
I’ve been gold via the HH visa for the last 7 years, hopefully Barclays have just forgotten about it 😂
I started my Easter trip stay as a diamond and finished it as gold 🙁
Dropped to gold after 5/6 years as diamond. To be fair I never really got treated any better , maybe one or two upgrades but nothing worth the investment is getting back to diamond TBH.
The free drinks in the executive lounge is a nice touch but often its soulless and I would rather spend the extra and drink elsewhere.
Like others I get my Gold from an old platinum amex and/or my HH visa which gets hammered most months.
I have found myself staying more at Premiere Inns at the airport in the last few years as the cost of living post covid and higher interest rates has eroded my spending money somewhat. My next trip, next month – Hilton T2/3 was £225 and the PI at T4 was £48, that’s a huge difference even with the free breakfast (that I won’t eat as its an early flight).
I was showing as Diamond for this year in the app – despite not qualifying. I checked the app as I was checking in today and I was now showing as Silver. (It was still Diamond yesterday). YMMV. Not too bothered as I knew I hadn’t done enough to re-qualify. It was getting a bit silly when they handed out diamond for 1 stay last year.
Mine has also now dropped to gold, but fortunately at re-check in, their internal system still showed diamond 🙂

As expected, my account changed from Diamond status to Silver just after I checked in yesterday. At least I know that the remaining visits needed will be as a Silver member and so I can book accordingly.
