KLM reward seats disappearing searching through VS

Searching for 6x business seats MAN-AMS (looking to improve the ground experience at MAN for family, not fussed about service on the plane!)

Found the seats I wanted booking with points through VS, then did a dummy search for equivalent cash fares on those same flights directly through KLM.

Since searching directly through KLM for those 6x business seats on those specific flights, those flights no longer show up as available through VS’s rewards finder. They don’t even show up in the list of options.

Did KLM pull rewards inventory from partners since I searched for those 6x directly? Can I expect that availability to come back?

Anyone have any experience with this?

AF-KLM availability on virgin isn’t always accurate. And you have to call up to book as the booking fails at payment stage if you do find seats

Thanks. Can VS call agents see accurate availability or is it a case of “try booking it and see”?

I’m not entirely sure. I believe VS agents see any of the lowest priced AF-KLM availability. Whereas other reward seats seem to involve them pinging a query into the system to see

Most VS agents need to go to specsavers.. IME they need encouragement to look, and look again to see AFKLM acvilability. Finally finding it, don’t be surprised if they then see less seats than you want. If ut dhiws online it is usually available IME even if it will not ticket online.
