Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points
We’ve decided to try something a bit different for our summer holiday with the kids (aged 6 & 8) this year and are planning to head to Lake Constance.
It seems an area largely devoid of chain hotels which is fine but I’d love some recommendations from the HfP community on decent places to stay plus restaurant or activity recommendations.
We tend to prefer more polished places than B&B’s and places with connecting rooms or family rooms suites would be an added bonus
I’ve stayed a few times at the Bayerischer Hof at Lindau. There’s a little island with the pretty Old Town attached by a causeway. You can get there by car or train. Ferry services mean you can visit all round the lake, it’s effectively the meeting point of German, Switzerland and Austria. Bregenz in Austria and Altenhein/Rohrschach in Switzerland. The rail connections mean you can go to Konstanz too.
