Very excited to be going upper class this Sunday (VS3 9:20am) and returning on a Friday night from JFK (VS10).
I’ve been given tips for the LHR Concorde room in the past (book the spa treatment early, book a cabana . . etc)
Any tips for either of the cubhouses would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Nothing you can book with Virgin – and of course no spa now anyway.
If you want a Peleton session then pack appropriately.
Arrive early enough to have a decent waiter served meal but apart from that I wouldn’t overdo it, especially in NY.
Do use the Upper Class Wing check in at T3 if coming by taxi.
I am one of the weirdos that likes to do a Peloton ride. It is a gym-fit bike so SPDs and clips. Don’t bother with Delta cleats.
The showers are fab. Great steam functionality.
Personally, my tip would be get there at 6am. Work out and then work your way through the menu. You don’t have to stick to the online menu. I tend to order off menu at the food bar. You can get much better bread there.
Highly recommended Korean kimchi chicken burger in LHR clubhouse.
Interesting looking outside balcony area that would excite any plane nerd like me, but which wasn’t open on a cold, dark February night when I was there unfortunately.
When is the Clubhouse coming to MAN, or has that been shelved indefinitely?!
2024 last I was told.
It’s there – I mean, the space is earmarked and some basic fit out has been done.
What’s not clear is how the divorce from Plaza Premium, who I guess may have been the ones who were going to fund the lounge, will impact things.
Personally, I quite like visiting Connie at the TWA Hotel for a quick drink first, then heading in. Since you’re flying Upper, you’ll use the Upper and DL One line next to the Sky Priority desks for drop-off then straight to security, so you should be through formalities pretty quickly. If I have time, I’ll visit the DL Sky Club for variety.
Showers in NY close at 10pm, but that shouldn’t impact you. The VS JFK showers are sometimes out of order, so I would instead visit the DL Sky Club instead for one, and then mosey on back to the A gates.
