Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club LHRSIN – Satellite Lounges

    Good Afternoon All –

My wife and I are flying LHRSIN in Club later this evening and are wondering which lounge we should visit. Though an experienced traveller, I’m quite a Heathrow novice.

I believe that the T5b and T5c lounges are better than Galleries South and North. Is that the case, and if so, is it likely that the LHRSIN flight will use b or c gates.

    TIA for the guidance.

Long haul widebody will generally depart from the satellite buildings. Try putting the flight number into Google and it will tell you what departure gate was used over the last few days.

    There isn’t a lounge in T5C

The 5B lounge should be quieter than the 5A ones.

When you check in / drop bags the agent should be able to tell you the estimated gate.

There is no lounge in C. The lounge in B is exactly the same as the ones in the main terminal but generally less busy. It would make sense to head there.

If you go to the B satellite and your flight is from an A gate (unlikely I think) then do NOT get the transit back – go down to level -4 and walk back.

Check in or lounge staff will probably be able to tell you where your flight is going from before it’s on the screens.

Thanks BWS – Unfortunately it’s been a mix of B and C the last week 🤦 I’ll ask at the reception of South or North… hopefully they will have access to more info.

So we’re flying from a C Gate but was advised by the Galleries South welcome colleague to head to the B Gate lounge.

Definitely more sedate and pleasant, even if the product is ostensibly the same.

Have a great flight supergers. I was in the south galleries the other day and the agent informed me
Where my flight was going (B gates) and told me to go on a lounge crawl and enjoy a few different ones. I Was pleasantly surprised, as before once before they told me I could only go to one lounge, which I know is utter rubbish.

I like C gates, as you can have one last one walk before your flight
