Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Lots of new travel offers on BA e-store?

Just a heads up but it looks to me as if there are a lot of new options on the ba e-store. I know it’s not perfect, but 10-12 avios per pound at small chains like Malmaison, Guoman and Montcalm looks attractive if you’re spending anyway…

Forgive me TRST but WTF are Malmaison, Guoman and Montcalm?

I am soooo outta the loop living in Spain.

Malmaison — boutiquey hotels around the UK, some of them lovely…
Guoman — some hotels in London, Grosvenor Victoria is absolutely fine,
    Montcalm — ditto

Given BA e-store’s poor actual payout record, I’d not allow any incentive there to swing my decision to book a hotel. But if the price is right anyway, why not?

That’s what I was getting at with the “I know it’s not perfect” – thanks for putting it more succinctly – but those are channels I haven’t often seen cashback on elsewhere. The other thing is that in my experience and especially at short notice chains like Montcalm can often be significantly cheaper than others in London. Again it can be a mixed bag, but I think the Brewery is fine (it rates really badly on some sites) and the Royal London is also sound enough for the most part – i’d put it on a par with the Hilton at Tower Bridge.
