Just had an email offering an upgrade for 99 euros. As I’m retiring this year then I may have the opportunity to take advantage of offers. I was wondering though is it worth it ? Any thoughts or views from people who already pay for the service. Thanks
To gold – which apparently provides exclusive access to all deals and error fares. The free service appears to only give a snippet of offers available some of which have gone
I had a free trial of Gold and found it useful but my circumstances at the time were:
– a job with a big leave allowance
– further flexi leave allowed
– no restriction on working from abroad
– no kids to manage school around
Nowadays I just don’t have the same flexibility to see a good fare and jump on it. By the time I have used 3 BA upgrade vouchers per year plus a Virgin one, I really have limited scope for anything more than 1 additional long haul trip
I took out the gold membership in November in the hope of finding a great deal to NZ. Unfortunately it didn’t come to fruition.
I find the alerts tend to come before I’m awake anyway (around 0600-0630), so getting instant (with gold) or delayed with the free membership makes no real difference – they’re both there for my morning cup of tea.
I don’t have a huge range of destinations I’m looking for, so probably won’t renew.
