Anyone stayed at Conrad Downtown? Any good? I’m still deliberating hotel choice and narrowed down to Draper NY, Conrad Downtown and Intercontinental Times Sq. Gold Hilton which I presume will get me nothing and Diamond Ambassador IHG.
Thoughts?
Any experience with the Crown Plaza HY36 Midtown here? Really well reviewed on TripAdvisor (and by what seem to be real and reasonable people with multiple contributions!) and whats looks to be a very interesting location, near Penn Station, the Hudson Yards and walkable for Times Square, Empire State etc. I know it doesn’t have a lounge but as a Diamond Ambassador I’m just happy to get a good brekkie, hopefully a decent room and a good night’s kip to book-end the touristy days
With so many great TripAdvisor reviews, the Crown Plaza HY36 Midtown appears like a wise option. One major benefit is that it’s close to major sites like Times Square and the Empire State Building, as well as Penn Station and Hudson Yards. As a Diamond Ambassador, you will probably value the good breakfast and comfy bed even with the absence of a lounge. It looks like a perfect place to unwind after seeing the city! best outlets in new York

Good bot / bad bot ?! Anyway, as it’s resurrected this thread I may as well add that in the end we splurged and stayed at the St Regis on a Marriott points redemption. Great location, iconic hotel (e.g. Logan Roy’s wake in Succession was filmed here). Flew BA First on a 2-4-1. Had a great trip!

The Crown Plaza HY36 Midtown sounds promising, especially with its strong reviews on TripAdvisor. Its location near Penn Station and Hudson Yards is ideal for exploring NYC. While it lacks a lounge, you should still enjoy a good breakfast and comfortable stay. Hope it’s a great base for your NYC adventures!
It’s actually a good idea.
