Help , I need to obtain 150k points so that we can go abroad next year to the Maldives using points.

I have 100k BA avios , is there anyway I can legitimately swap them ??

A friend or family member can only gift you (or anyone) 100k a year too (comically low these days it’s about 1 night) but you can receive 500k.

Not sure if it helps but you should be able to buy 100k, then maybe book one night using cash on a flexible rate while you work on the rest?

I think I’ll might wait to see the next bonus when purchasing points via Marriott as my offer wasn’t the best

Shame there isn’t a website where you can exchange points with people from different airlines / hotels . I’m never going to use the avios points I have from reading T&C your not allowed to sell so…

You can use avios for hotels.

You’ll be lucky to find someone on this forum willing to trade points against the T&Cs of a scheme. Far too much risk.

I can’t make any further suggestions for acquiring Marriott points quickly.
However it is quite unimaginative of the OP to have 100k avios they are “never going to use”. Apart from the hotel option suggested, Rob has listed 32 airlines in his article today, and there is always the possibility of converting to Nectar for a Christmas shop at Sainsbury’s.

100k Avios will buy you £500 of hotels but no benefits as not direct with Marriott and I bet your Maldives hotel costs more than that.

I struggle to believe you can’t use them for a short haul flight. Really powerful for last min European flights when cash fares are sky high.

No FF have an Amex card that can send points to a newly created Marriott account and transfer to you?

Used all your Amex sign up bonus opportunities between you and your partner? You need 150k membership rewards point … literally just had a huge 60k Marriott sign up bonus finish a few weeks ago …
