Maximise avios points as existing member?

Hello, I’m new to the forum and have been doing some reading about it on this website! I stumbled upon a post that talked about the optimal route for a couple that are both new to amex but I currently have a platinum cashback credit card which makes me ineligible for the nectar card, however my partner is new to amex.

What would the optimal route be to maximise the bonus rewards?

1. She gets the nectar card
2. She refers me for the platinum card and I apply
3. I refer her to the platinum card and she applies
4. She refers me to BA plus card and I apply
5. I refer her to BA plus card and she applies.

Would this work out or is there a better combination?
