Hi,
I downgraded from Amex Platinum to Gold, but still have Melia Gold status when logging in to my Melia Rewards account, as well as a 20% discount code.
However, when making a booking which is pre-paid, it doesn’t show anywhere for me to enter my card details, but does say:
‘The full amount for this booking will be charged to to the credit card provided… The card will be required at check-in’. Does anyone know what this means? Do you they some how still have my old Platinum card linked to my Melia account for payment purposes? I can see nowhere in my Melia account profile that a card is registered. I should also clarify this is a booking using the app to avail the extra 5% discount.
Many Thanks
Tom

Nope, nothing like that at all, you either have card details already saved, or you just haven’t found the spot to enter it because you need to click through to that stage.
