I suspect jj owns several pairs of corduroy trousers, either burgundy or mustard 😉

This thread is one of the best I’ve read in a while. Only on HFP could we get a thread approaching rivalry with the infamous mumsnet ‘glass of water’ thread…

Hear, hear. That Mumsnet thread is still top of my charts, I’m surprised it’s not been converted into a Channel 5 type hour long programme

I had never come across the “glass of water” thread before, now the phrase “Fill up the penis beaker” will live with me forever. I can’t get any work done now!

I googled this while in the queue at Primark earlier (thought I’d better smarten up a bit in case I bump into @jj or @JDB at breakfast), but none of the 3 threads that came up with this title seemed to relate to this thread!

Yes, someone please provide a link as I also googled and can’t be bothered to plough through numerous options re this glass of water thing.

Mumsnet best thread of all time

I’m pretty certain that when @JJ started this thread he wouldn’t have imagined in his wildest dreams that when he retired with @JDB for cigars and brandy that the ladies of the house would be discussing such indecorous matters

I imagine dunking your penis during breakfast is bad mediterranean manners?

Depends whom you are dunking it into I imagine.

Lol, seen it now, though I can’t be bothered reading 40 pages!

I shall eagerly await @JDB’s pronouncement on the correct etiquette for these circumstances.

Not if you use still/sparking mineral water – it’s too uncouth to use tap.

Yes, of course you are correct @Aston100 but, assuming you aren’t talking about room service breakfast (when it’s required/good manners), you risk coming to the wrong sort of sticky end.

However, @jj is really the owner of this thread and his mantra still holds good. Clearly, dunkin’ donuts is a key part of any good holiday, whatever your age and casual but elegant day or night attire can only add to the frisson and frequency. Shapeless, grungy, grubby outfits are never going to be sexy and with all those artificial fibres have the added risk of friction burns on your delicates, particularly in association with all the man made fibres all over these so called five star hotels. Appropriate garb has all sorts of benefits.

Didn’t Wilt in one of the Tom Sharpe novels get caught by his wife dunking his penis in a tooth mug of antiseptic, I can’t remember why. I know it was one of the contributing factors in her leaving with the dodgy lesbian. I think I need to re-read some Tom Sharpe, the two South African ones were brilliant.

@JDB 😂. I sometimes wonder if you are a spoof account and/or more than one person.

Me thinks wearing anything from Primark is unlikely to get approval of @jj or @JDB

Well yes, tongue was firmly in cheek there.* I do like their fitted T-shirts though, as they are comfortably long in the body, which is difficult to find.

*Given the topic of conversation up thread, maybe I should confirm that I was speaking figuratively!

This is so true! Why are longer tops for ladies so hard to find! I’m not on about as compared to crop tops, I mean just longer length normal tops like t-shirts etc

Only wish I knew. I’m 5’8, not a giant but taller than average and every top I buy is too short. I often wear male polo shirts and they’re the only ones that won’t reveal most of my mid drift if I reach up for something. I’m not got a ridiculously long body either. So frustrating.

You misrepresent me. I see nothing wrong with Primark provided you pass over the baggy t-shirts and athleisure department. It’s much better to wear Primark clothes than to display a visible logo from somewhere more expensive.

The M&S mens “extra long” T-shirts are very good, they do a “tall girls” range as well?
