My son has read through the long thread ‘How to book the return half on a 2 4 1 voucher’ but has asked me a couple of questions which I think would be better asked as a separate thread. Basically, he is getting married next year…just over 12 months away. He has a 241 and around 350k Avios and looking to get down to any Aus destination, including Darwin if it makes it easier. (His fiance will also have a 241 very soon. )I feel that Qatar is not a bad option but also thinking that the multi carrier option could come into play, if the 241 could be used on the first leg, maybe via Singapore etc.,using BA which I’m not sure about? Thanks for any advice/suggestions.
Is there a route via Iberia going east combined with Qatar or Qantas that might work? Or going the other way via the USA or South America with Iberia, BA or Aer Lingus using the 2-4-1 voucher and then Qantas or AA to Australia?
Alternatively you could look at a multi-carrier Round the World trip. Not sure whether that could be combined with a 2-4-1 on any of the legs. Not sure whether 350k Avios is enough to do that.
