Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards Multiple simultaneous stays at IHG/same name – do they all count towards status?

Hi there. We have an upcoming business conference in Warsaw; I’ve booked myself a stay at IC Warsaw for two nights, and would like to also book my three employees separate rooms at Crowne Plaza Warsaw for the same dates. If I were to book these stays under my name and check in on their behalf at the hotel, would all four stays still be counted towards my Diamond Elite Status, i.e. would I only receive two nights for my stay at IC, or would the bookings for my three employees for two nights each also count, thus amounting to 8 nights in total? Thanks

It’s unlikely, they normally go down as overlapping stays and you’ll only get one night per night.

Thought I would use search (novel right?)

Admittedly, 18 month old article but it does seem that officially, (T&Cs in the linked article) not supported but unofficially, you might get lucky

Yeah – I think I lucked out once, but mostly not. IHG’s T&Cs don’t offer this, so you can’t chase the nights if you’re not credited.

Are you using IHG Business Rewards? https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/09/20/ihg-business-rewards-review-4/ You won’t get the nights credited if you’re the booker, but can get some extra points (and let the employees also get nights/points if they want)

I do this regularly for work colleagues on both IHG and Hilton. You will only gain two night credits for the 4 bookings, however, you will indeed gain the base points for your colleagues rooms on your account.
