Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Need 4 BA flights for silver. Any tricks?

Possibly Air Nostrum, but as you have plenty of BA and IB choice, I would play it safe and stick with those.

If you have a look on Flight connections.com, you can see the Iberia domestic options, which are very extensive (infinitely more so than BA!), then double check on the IB site or app who’s operating the specific flight (flight connections is not brilliant with this). There are multiple flights per day between some cities, operated by all the different IB permutations.

    So what are the franchises?

Not clear to me if IB express or Air Nostrum are acceptable

Just book your flights on BA.com

You’re turning a simple trip into something far more complicated than it is.

This. And you’ve had enough help now, lol.

Yep, thanks. Sadly so much is in the detail and BA will do their best to make it difficult

How are BA making this difficult?

Sorry but the one making it difficult is you.

I’be given you advice on how to book this – yes over two days – but likely the simplest. Others have given you some one day options.

Not sure what more help anyone can give you.

@truthbetold if you don’t want to run the risk of an IB flight not counting, then simply don’t book an IB flight – stick to BA metal

As @BA Flyer IHG Stayer says, the rules for BA flights are pretty easy, especially at the moment.

If you are confused your best bet would be 2 x return domestics/DUB flights, maybe try to make a city to Belfast, Edinburgh or Dublin if you need to justify it.

How much will this cost, is it worth it. How many times do you have to travel on BA for the savings in say seat reservations to cover cost of flights.

Under £200 for sure, but was hoping to get a tip for even cheaper but seems this is about as cheap as it gets. I am heading to Madrid for a day trip this Sunday for £91 return. I already have 600 Tier Points.
It’s not just BA Silver…. it could also release/unlock Virgin status (doubles the voucher value to 150k miles), Flying Blue, potentially Star Alliance status matches too. Might be a last chance to gain all these

If you already have 600 Tier Points then you do t need to make these additional trips at all. It’s just a case of waiting for Silver to update on your account, if it has not done so already.

You need 4 BA flights to qualify for Silver. Not just 600 tier points. Have I misunderstood?

Had a lovely day trip to Madrid yesterday though.
