Hi,
Long time lurker here. I noticed this morning that the new amex local dining credit of £100 has been added. I usually use this credit to eat in but was planning on buying a voucher in person at the Ivy this time as I have noticed newsletters say this is a permitted spend and the credit is still applied.
When I looked at the Terms this morning is explicitly states Benefit excludes purchases of gift cards and vouchers. I am not sure if it said this before. Any ideas? Is this a change? Before I go an spend £100 on a voucher when I’d be better just dining in!
Usual rules (for cashback offers) apply.
If The Ivy processes it via their usual till Amex has no idea what you spend.
This clause goes in because a lot of restaurant groups process vouchers via Head Office and it won’t use the same card terminal and therefore won’t trigger the cashback.
Anyone else finding that the link to enrol in the overseas dining credit offer doesnt work? I was able to add the local restaurants offer but for the overseas page I get a message saying “We’re having trouble finding the page you’re looking for”?
