You would assume they are extending the offer as they are adding more restaurants.

Any recommendations for Mexico City and/or Cancun? There is a suprising range of restaurants available, compared to say nearby Miami.

In CDMX – San Angel Inn for lunch.

If you were to go to San Angel Inn it’s right next door to the Frida Kahlo/Diego Rivera studio (not FK’s house) which you don’t need to pre-book (unlike the house) and if you go at a weekend, the San Antonio market is full of interesting things as well as live music and lots of cafés in the square.

Not on the Plat list, but we like Arango (also for lunch, great food and it’s on a high floor with views over Republic monument) and Raíz. On the Plat list, avoid Azul.

    @JDB
is that the San Antonio market in the Texcoco suburb? I couldn’t find any other. Many thanks.

@tbtb31 – I’m really sorry, it should have said San Ángel market which is around the Plaza San Jacinto. It’s about 1km from the San Ángel Inn. El Bazar Sábado is on that square, and I think that despite its name is open every day but the whole square has sellers, music etc. at the weekend. The Mexicans are a very creative/artistic people, but so much of the stuff in the more touristy areas is from China, but here there’s more real stuff.

Anyone else having issues with dining credit posting. I used £90 in London (posted immediately) and used the remainder a couple of weeks ago but it hasn’t posted. Had a live chat and got the usual T&C’s that it can take up to 150 days for it to post.

About to make use of the benefits and it seems that there’s a actually lot of fancy restaurants abroad. Not my thing, as I dislike have to dress up for dinner, so will dig through something more casual to not be out of place.

Kitty Fishers for us tomorrow lunchtime, reviews seem generally good. It was that or having to use it at one of the franchise Ivy’s which I’d rather not do.

Be very careful of booking fees which are later deducted from bill . Amex refused to pay these to me so what I thought was a free meal turned out not so as the booking fee was 75 euro . All the restaurants in Amsterdam charge fees when you book online.

Enjoy – we used ours there a couple of years ago.
Have the crunchy potatoes – whatever they’re called they’re delicious.

We went to Circolo Popolare as a family group of 8 including 2 grandchildren a couple of years ago. My then 4 year old grandson particularly enjoyed the the churros😂

We all enjoyed it but there were a lot of people there more interested in the photos of their food for Instagram than the actual food!

@qc Only just saw this, and yes we did, you are absolutely correct, fabulous. Total bill £148.83, I’d have rounded the tip up but they’d already brought the machine. Now settled in the lounge at the Hilton ready for the football, Mrs S is thrilled, happy birthday Mrs S.

We went there today for lunch chosen by my daughter for her 21st birthday. Didn’t realise it was on the list until just now 🤦🏻‍♀️ luckily used the platinum card to pay 😅 restaurant very beautiful – very instagrammable. Absolutely heaving. Waitress said they do 1,200 covers on a Saturday! Food pretty good – carbonara spaghetti served in cheese wheel was their signature dish but the truffle pizza was the best! Well worth going to!

@Michael C great place and good to see somewhere other than an Ivy or steak place get a mention. Re Launceston Place, you may blow the Plat offer at Sabor but my wife and son went last weekend and said it was again exceptional. My son get vouchers at Virgin Experiences that get you the £39 set lunch @ £58 for two and O2 gives you £20 off Virgin Experiences, so £38 for two exceptional lunches with quite a few inclusions not shown on the menu!

Virgin Experience Days isn’t letting me use a gift card with a discount code at the same time meaning I now have a useless £50 Virgin Experience Days gift card.

How did you manage to get this to go through?

@cin3 – the comment you have copied is from November 2022 when it definitely worked. Our son got quite a few vouchers for Launceston Place and Orrery which we have only just finished using but I don’t know if the offer is still there 20 months later.
